MATTHEW MATEAR

Mike has been a mentor to our son for the past 3 years. He has instilled many great morals and values. He teaches respect to his boys; respect for parents, teachers, teammates, other players and coaches and respect for the game. Our son is graduating high school this year and has accepted a basketball scholarship to UBC Okanogan. He has won 2 other athletic scholarships and we attribute much of what he has achieved to the guidance and support both on and off the court from Mike. Mike has become an important member of our family and our other 2 sons greatly respect him and what he stands for. As our oldest son moves on to university we are grateful that our middle son can now enjoy the same morals, values, work ethic and great basketball that Mike continuously provides. What’s Important Now!

DEREK KROETSCH

Mike has a passion for developing basketball skills for those youth that are willing to grow and push themselves to be better. Our son was fortunate to be mentored by Mike in the game he loves. Many of the individual & team skills and work ethics that he learned will be carried into his adult life. Mike cares about you, the athlete, and you, the person. We would recommend that you take a closer look at Mike and W.I.N. Basketball. You might find exactly what you and your son are looking for.

LIAM BURKE

Our son played with Mike during his first year playing club basketball. This was his first experience with a club and in fact was one of the deciding factors that led him to choose basketball as his primary sport. Mike’s influence was instrumental in Liam making that decision. Mike had high expectations that he used to motivate our son and to show him how to play at an elite level. Mike knows the game, knows the players and makes the most of every opportunity to teach the boys about life. Mike continues to be someone our son will seek for advice and input to improve his game. Playing for WIN Basketball was one of the best decisions our son has ever
made. It fueled his love of the game.

BRANDON VAN HALL

Our son Brandon first played for Mike Myers when he was coaching the Bishop O’ Byrne Junior team and we were so impressed with Mike that it was easy to choose W.I.N after that. Being a good basketball coach takes a lot more than just having basketball knowledge. It requires a positive attitude, patience, good communication and above all, a connection with the kids and a passion for the game. While playing for Mike, Brandon developed his skills, improved his confidence and learned valuable lessons like work ethic, respect and commitment. These attributes will carry him through for the rest of his life. Mike is not only a great basketball coach but also a great role model and one that Brandon will always look up to and respect!
